The Helping Our Miami-Dade Youth (HOMY) Collective is a collaborative of 100 agencies working together to ensure that all Miami-Dade youth have safe and stable housing.

Our Mission

No young person should spend a single night sleeping outdoors simply because they do not have access to safe housing. The HOMY Collective's mission is to create a community dedicated to preventing and ending youth homelessness.

290 youth in shelters or on the street

In the 2018 iCount Miami and the Miami-Dade Continuum of Care Count, there were 290 young people counted staying in a shelter or on the street.

In the 2018 iCount Miami, there were 218 young people without a parent or legal guardian.



at-risk students

 In the 2016-2017 school year, Miami-Dade County Public Schools identified approximately 8,000 students at-risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Youth voice Advisory Council

The YVAC is The HOMY Collective's board of youth ages 16-24 with lived experience of housing instability. Interested in being a leader and advocate for youth in Miami-Dade County? Fill out our application.

Volunteer on a committee

iCount Miami
